Pure-water cleaning

Purified water for exterior cleaning

Nordytre AS uses purified water for window cleaning and suitable facade surfaces. With a water-fed brush and thorough rinsing, we clean the surface without added detergent where this method is appropriate.

About the method

What is purified water?

Ordinary water contains dissolved minerals that can leave marks when droplets dry on glass. A pure-water system filters out these minerals before the water is used for cleaning and rinsing.

Water is fed to the brush. The brush loosens dirt from the surface, and rinsing carries the dirt away. The surface is then left to air-dry. The method combines purified water, brushing and sufficient rinsing.

We assess the material, surface treatment, growth and access before choosing a method. Some surfaces, coatings and stubborn deposits require a different cleaning approach. We clarify this before the work is agreed.

Purified water in use

Why we use purified water

  • Minerals filtered out

Filtration removes minerals that can otherwise remain on the glass as water dries.

  • Brushing loosens dirt

Water and brushing work together. Thorough rinsing then carries the loosened dirt away.

  • No added detergent

The pure-water method uses no added detergent, so it leaves no detergent residue from the cleaning.

  • Suited to the surface

The material, surface treatment, growth and access determine whether purified water is suitable or a different cleaning method is needed.

How the method works

From filtration to the final rinse

  1. The water is purified

Minerals are removed before the water is fed to the brush. This distinguishes purified water from ordinary water used straight from the tap.

  2. Dirt is loosened

The water-fed brush works on the agreed surface and loosens dirt. The brush and technique are selected to suit the material and its condition.

  3. Thorough rinsing

The surface is rinsed with purified water to carry away loosened dirt. The glass is then left to air-dry, without detergent that needs wiping or polishing away.

Questions and answers

Questions about pure-water cleaning

Do you only use water?

The pure-water method combines purified water and a water-fed brush without added detergent. We use it for window cleaning and suitable facade surfaces. The material, surface treatment and growth may require a different cleaning method.

Why is the glass left to air-dry?

Once minerals have been filtered out and dirt rinsed away, the glass is left to dry naturally. No detergent is added in this method. Thorough cleaning and rinsing matter, and stubborn deposits may require separate assessment.

Can purified water be used on every surface?

We use purified water for window cleaning and suitable facade surfaces. Materials, surface treatments, condition and growth guide the choice of method. Tell us about special surfaces or previous treatments so we can assess whether purified water or another method is appropriate.
