Privacy Policy
Privacy and processing of personal data
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Nordytre processes personal data when you visit nordytre.no, use Enquiry and booking, submit an enquiry or enter into an agreement with us.
Last updated: 6 September 2026. This policy describes the website and Enquiry and booking as they are configured at this time.
1. Who is the data controller?
Nordytre is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.
- Organisation number: 937 747 470
- Email: post@nordytre.no
- Telephone: 405 27 799
2. What personal data do we process?
Depending on how you use the service, we may process the following information:
- Contact details such as your name, telephone number and email address.
- Order details such as the service address, selected services, requested date and time, access conditions, condition of the property, availability of an outdoor tap and comments.
- Property and building information associated with the selected address, such as registered area, building number, building type, number of storeys and other available building data.
- For businesses and public-sector customers: organisation name, organisation number, customer category, invoice reference, order number and other necessary purchasing information.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser information, security logs and information necessary to operate and protect the website.
- Communications and documentation associated with enquiries, agreements, assignments, invoicing and customer service.
3. Where does the information come from?
Most of the information is provided directly by you. Enquiry and booking may also retrieve available address, property and building information from Matrikkelen, Norway's official property register, through the Norwegian Mapping Authority (Kartverket), and publicly available organisation information from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities through the Brønnøysund Register Centre.
A registered water supply does not confirm that the property has a functioning outdoor tap. The customer therefore confirms the availability of an outdoor tap separately in Enquiry and booking. The customer may also correct information that is missing or uncertain.
4. Why do we process the information?
We process information for the following purposes:
- To provide Enquiry and booking, calculate a price or prepare a quotation, plan the assignment and respond to enquiries.
- To enter into and perform agreements, communicate with the customer and document the service delivery.
- To issue invoices, maintain accounting records and comply with other legal obligations.
- To secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and booking process.
- To prevent misuse and handle complaints or legal claims.
5. Legal bases for processing
The legal basis depends on the purpose. Processing that is necessary to respond to an enquiry before entering into an agreement or to perform an agreement is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Processing that is necessary to comply with legal obligations is based on Article 6(1)(c). Security, documentation and proportionate improvement of the service may be based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f), following an assessment of the interests affected.
Where consent is required, for example for optional cookies or direct marketing, the processing is based on Article 6(1)(a).
6. Automated price calculation in Enquiry and booking
For private homes, Enquiry and booking may calculate a price based on selected services, available property and building data, size, number of storeys, access conditions, condition of the property and other selections made in the form. Larger assignments and assignments for businesses or public-sector organisations may instead be registered as enquiries for individual quotations.
The price calculation is used to prepare the order. It is not used for credit assessment or to determine access to public benefits. You may contact us if you believe the calculation is based on incorrect information or if you would like the result to be reviewed.
7. Who may receive the information?
We only share information where necessary for the purposes described, for example with:
- The provider of the website, forms and parts of the communication solution.
- Cloudflare, which provides technical infrastructure, security and the intermediary used by Enquiry and booking when retrieving property information.
- Providers of email, invoicing, accounting and other necessary operating systems.
- Independent consultants who carry out assignments for Nordytre, limited to the information they need to plan and carry out the relevant assignment.
- Public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
In this context, the Norwegian Mapping Authority and the Brønnøysund Register Centre are primarily public data sources. They do not receive the customer's complete order from Nordytre as part of an ordinary lookup.
8. Processing outside the EEA
Some service providers may process information outside the EEA. Where this occurs, the transfer shall have a valid legal basis, such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
9. How long do we retain the information?
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Order and assignment information may be retained for as long as necessary for customer service, performance of the agreement, complaints, documentation and legal claims. Accounting records are retained for the period required by law. Enquiries that do not result in an agreement are deleted or anonymised when there is no longer an objective need to retain them.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss and misuse. Access is limited to individuals and providers who need the information for their work.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
When you submit the contact form, a copy of the details is temporarily stored in session storage in the same browser tab. It supports submission, any security challenge and the subsequent summary. The copy is valid for up to two hours after submission and is cleared when submission is cancelled, when a received enquiry is closed, or when you leave the page after viewing the receipt. The tab does not save a continuous draft while you fill in the form. Closing the tab normally clears session storage.
You can open the website’s consent choices using Cookie preferences in the footer. If those choices cannot be opened, contact post@nordytre.no.
The website may use cookies that are strictly necessary for security, language selection, forms, shopping functions or other functionality requested by the user. Such cookies may be used without optional consent where permitted by the applicable regulations.
If we use optional analytics, marketing or other tracking technologies, they shall not be activated until valid consent has been given. Consent may be withdrawn through the cookie settings. The actual choices presented in the consent solution take precedence over general examples in this policy.
12. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that has already been carried out lawfully.
To exercise your rights, contact post@nordytre.no. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
13. Complaints, amendments and contact
You may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe that our processing infringes data protection rules. We nevertheless encourage you to contact us first so that we can investigate the matter.
We may update this policy when the service, our providers or the applicable regulations change. The current version is always published on this page. Questions may be sent to post@nordytre.no.
